17 Crossfit Gyms In Malaysia

Have trouble finding a crossfit gym near you? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Crossfit gyms are adult playgrounds on steroids and we mean that in a good way. A space that doesn’t discriminate gender, it is not uncommon to see a men and women alike performing several intense pull ups on the pull up bar, or lifting half their body weight in a weight lifting class during classes.

Originally designed to train those in the military and police force, crossfit has not taken the world by storm, and is quickly gaining momentum in Malaysia, with new crossfit gyms popping up throughout the country. And who can blame them? The high intensity all rounded exercise programme  incorporates a mixture of gymnastics, kettlebell workouts, rowing, functional training, running and more, making it one of the few workouts that focuses on all of the key fitness dynamics required to achieve our optimum fitness – stamina, endurance, speed, flexibility, strength, etc.

Benefits of crossfit include:
1. Helping you prepare for any sport – whether you’re a crossfit athlete, a runner, triathlete, boxer etc, crossfit training will help you get physically prepped and ready to take on any challenge
2. Keeps you from plateauing – constant changes in workout routines, means muscles are constantly working in new ways
3. Achieve fitness goals – whether you’re looking to lose weight or build muscle. Crossfit has got you covered.
4. Strong sense of community – workout amongst a group of individuals who can inspire and motivate you to do better.

Not sure where to start? Here are 18 Crossfit-inspired and Crossfit affiliated gyms in Malaysia that you should check out.
