"I had never started anything of my own or run a business. So everything was new, difficult, challenging but immensely interesting. I was finally able to exercise a lot of my creativity and get to touch, feel and create a real product. It was very different to everything I had done in the past, where you rarely get to engage directly with the end-consumer or product." If you go too fast or too soon you will end up cramping and 'DNF-ing' (did not finish). If you go too slow you may not reach the checkpoint cut-off times and will be disqualified."

"You also need to be able to find the right people to train, run and race with you because they keep you going when you don’t think you can and you take turns leading and inspiring each other."

On how ash be nimble got its name

"In a nutshell, Hui says her brand is all about "approachable people going the extra mile to aspire and inspire the people around them".

"At the end of the day, Hui said she wanted something that would benefit and inspire people from all walks of life. Even the name of the brand speaks volume of the personality it wishes to exude as the words 'ash be nimble' is a play on words involving her loved one's names and the English nursery rhyme, Jack Be Nimble. As for the name being in all small letters, once again, it's all about staying approachable to all."

On future plans

"As for the future, Hui said plans included "rolling out fun designs every month, having a flagship store somewhere in KL, expanding to Indonesia and the region as fitness takes off in Southeast Asia, being able to influence and inspire more people to get into fitness!"
