Sprinting into 2019 with adidas SolarBOOST SS19
The best way to start 2019 is with a new set of Kicks. Here’s why we love the Brand New adidas SolarBOOST SS19
What better way to kick off our 2019 fitness resolutions (writer intends to win herself a consistent 6 pack, but it’s hard when she loves cheese), with a 6km run with the adidas runners, whilst rocking their NEWLY launched SS19 SolarBOOST running shoes. The brand new addition to the SolarBOOST series, is a level up to its predeccesors with added cushioning and form fit to give the professional and the amateur runner alike an extra boost with every stride.
Said to be one of the best innovations amongst running shoes in the market, the Boost series saw adidas tapping into new innovative methods through tech to help develop a running shoe that helps store and release more energy during runs. This is made possible with the partnership with BASF, a leading chemical company, to develop a distinct boost midsole, which offers a cushioning system to provide runners with an extra boost to their performance.
Sole comfort for a smooth ride
Our short distance test run saw us riding smoothly through a series of uphills and downhills whilst maintaining an consistent pace throughout, without any fatigue along the way. Like a pair of seasoned kicks, the shoes adapted well to my feet which secured and supported my feet throughout my run. Mid sole support helped balance and restore energy making the run feel like a breeze despite increasing my pace slightly. No annoying blisters or “shoe bites” one would usually experience with new shoes.
Engineered with Solar Propulsion rails, new construction that works with adidas’ industry-leading Boost cushioning technology, giving focus to energy return and offers a lightweight cushioning support that allows better movement making it suitable for every runner.
Lightweight, suitable for short runs
Weighing only 295g, the adidas’ SolarBOOST makes every stride feel weightless. The supportive, lightweight silhouette is engineered using cutting-edge Tailored Fiber Placement technology, a data-driven manufacturing process that lays down fibers which feature Parley material content in the mid-foot. Not to mention, The Continental Rubber outsole promises proper grip on any road surface. With that said, its lightweight built makes SolarBOOST more suitable for shorter distance runs.
Stylish and suitable for everyday use
adidas SolarBOOST stylish and slimmer forefoot design offers a fashionable alternative for sneaker geeks. Plus, stand out with their brand new Marine and Ash Grey colourways and pops of Hi-Res yellow, which reflects how injections of bright colour bring life and energy in unexpected places.
