Tokyo's Biggest Yoga Festival Is Coming To KL!
Organic Life Kuala Lumpur 2018, is the 2-day jam packed yoga and lifestyle festival you don't want to miss out on!
Calling all yogis! Get ready for 2 full unlimited weekends of yoga practice, mindfullness and savasanas (cause it's everyone's favourite pose) in abundance!
Tokyo’s biggest yoga and lifestyle festival is coming to KL this August 25th and 26th. The event is a join effort between Yoga Journal Singapore, a yoga studio collective based in the Klang Valley, yoga teachers within the Asia Pacific region, and fitness partners such as Guavapass, Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First.
Organic Life KL aims to bring together likeminded individuals who share their love for yoga, mindfulness and health. This festival invited practitioners of all levels to converge and share their interest, practice together, expand their knowledge of yoga, and celebrate the practice of yoga. The theme "Come Together" reinforces this belief and signifies the unique platform they've created for everyone to come together for an integrative mind, body and soul experience through the practice of yoga and support the growing popularity of yoga amongst the Malaysian community.
At the recent launch of Organic Life KL in White Box, Publika, Foo & Junko (Inspired Yoga) and Atilian Haron (YogaonethatIwant) weighed in on the growing local community and how the Organic Life KL will help cater to the interest of every Malaysian yogi. Inspired Yoga, fo-founder, Foo (Acroyoga practitioner) said, "I run workshops and classes and I meet people and we always meet someone new... which shows that the yoga community is definitely growing."
Further elaborating on Malaysian's relationship with yoga, Atilia Haron (YogaonethatIwant), agrees "I am very proud to see more Malaysians practicing yoga... I can see the growth and that makes me really proud." she adds that "It comes as a relief to me as yoga was once banned in Malaysia (the ban has since been lifted) as it was believed that yoga involved religious practice. When in fact, it was far from it, yoga practice does not promote nor instill any form of religious belief. It is more about the personal intention of the practitioner. In yoga classes I teach (and most yoga classes around Malaysia) we focus on technique and setting positive intentions. We need events like Organic Life KL as it can help make yoga more general and inclusive for all."
The 2 day event will be held at Publika's, White box, black box and The Square and will feature an ensemble of renowned yoga teachers, instructors and experts from Asia Pacific to educate, inspire and impart wisdom throughout the event. Amongst the list of 30 educators, includes the likes of Atilia Haron, Foo & Junko, Dennis Koh, Darren Chen, Hansen Lee, Hemanth Venkataram, Jojo Struys, Grace Khoo and more teachers within the local and regional scene.
Workshops will be held throughout the day and will feature various styles of yoga practices. Yogi's can choose between vikasa yoga, power yoga, improving their handstand game or try something completely new, ie Meridian Ring Aroma Yoga. Trust me when we say that practitioners will be spoilt for choice.
In order to make the event more inclusive and open to all practitioners, Organic Life KL will also be running FREE community workshops held throughout the 2 days at The Square for those who do not have passes to the event. Plus, feel free to check out the vendors at the Natural Lifestyle Market, with a vendor line-up that includes Justlife, Rietreat, Nirodha Holistic Nutrition and more!
